In this week’s Hidden Wealth Review, I teach that many people are forecasting a market drop in 2020. In an article on FoxBusiness.com, Odeon Capital’s Chief Financial Strategist, Dick Bove, discussed The Federal Reserve’s disastrous balance sheet. Bove declared that, if The Fed were a publicly traded bank, they would be viewed as insolvent!
This matters because, every time The Fed hints at raising interest rates, the markets seem to become crippled. Bove predicts a 20% drop in the markets with a total of five interest rate hikes over then next 12 months.
A number of people have reached out to us to say that they have neither the stomach or the recovery time for another 20%, 40% or 50% drop in the markets, such as the ones we saw in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2008 and 2009. You may recall that these drastic market drops forced many retirees back into the workplace.
